What Do You Know?

My question to you my friends…What do you know? What are you good at? Where do you excel? And, what do you do with that knowledge? Do you keep it close to your chest or do you share it? Are you of the mindset that possessing that knowledge gives you a leg up from the rest or of the mindset that sharing information empowers all around you, thus making you stronger collectively?

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my journey of life, is that nothing bad comes from sharing… Sharing clothes with my siblings, sharing a sandwich with a friend, sharing spare change with a stranger, sharing my life with my husband, and, most importantly, sharing what I know with others! I’ve met many amazing people throughout my life, but the ones that really stand out – that are forever in my heart, are the ones that selflessly teach me. My parents, my pastor, my family, friends and colleagues. They empower me with the wealth of knowledge they possess – parental knowledge, spiritual knowledge, educational and professional knowledge. They are my tribe and they are a force!

OK… I know, I’m just a rambling mad woman, going on very little sleep and still can’t put her computer away – I sit and write this because at this exact moment, I am overwhelmed by my tribe. I’m working on a project that I am passionate about. A project that is worthwhile and makes me proud to do what I do. A project that has a few aspects of which are outside my area of expertise. BUT I FEAR NOT. My tribe of intelligent and selfless individuals to the rescue! What? I can’t do that? I don’t know how? That’s ok… they’ll teach me. They’ll show me. They’ll guide me. Then, just like that, it’s done. They have shared with me what they know, for little to no reward except the knowledge of helping me succeed.

My daughter says I need to go to sleep. So with that, I  say to you… I am your tribe! I am your family, your friend, your colleague. I will teach you everything I know. I will show you, guide you and cheer you on. I want you to succeed and will do whatever it takes to help you do so. I will share my knowledge with you. I don’t know everything, but I’ll gladly share what I do know. WHY? Because nothing bad comes from sharing! – Good night my loves! Tomorrow awaits. XOXO
